Have you ever asked yourself, “How far I want to go today?” or “What I want to achieve this month?”, and if so, how far have you gone? Or what have you achieved?

This clip is about that, is about how far we want to go and what we are willing to do to achieve our goals, or be a better person than what we were yesterday or a year ago; but it’s not just about that, it’s about of how strong our confidence in ourselves is, how strong our will is, and how capable we are of keep moving forward, no matter the circumstances.

Most people usually makes up excuses to go on, they say they are tired, they say that it’s too hard, some even say that it’s impossible to accomplish their goals; but, I believe that nothing is impossible as long as we have the will to do it, and I mean a very strong will, because if we really want to achieve our goals, we are going to do whatever we need to succeed, we are going to find a way to get what we want, we are going to break any limit in front of us, even if that limit is the sky itself, but first, we have to break the very first limit, we are that first limit, each one of us is the first limit that has to be broken to go further, further than what we are actually, only that way we are going to reach and go beyond our goals.

However, we have to be careful while reaching our goals, because sometimes reaching them; will mean give up other things, and if we are not willing to give them up, maybe we should rethink our goals.

We can achieve every goal we want, but not every goal we want is the one we need.

ESSAY

The movie “The Butterfly Circus” wants to teach about confidence, about friendship and about solidarity. Confidence is important to achieve the things you want in your life, a close friendship will always help you when you think you can’t do something, just the nice words of a person can help, and solidarity, being mean to someone won’t take you higher.

In this short movie you can appreciate the importance of the confidence. At the beginning of the film you see how Will feels like useless and his opinion about himself it’s just a creation based on the opinion of the public and the people who laugh at him. Along the story he learns how to believe in himself, to trust that if make an effort to complete the aspiration you have, you can have them. If you think you’re going to lose, your lost, if you think you can’t do something, you won’t, and if you don’t believe, you’re finish. You have to fight for the things you want.

Mr. Mendez is a good person, and a good friend that helps the other start trusting them. I think in life you always need a close person who has the value to tell you when you’re wrong and applause you when you’re right. Just a person to be with you in your ups and downs is all you need, if you see that someone believes in you it’s easier to make the same. In this case, Mr. Mendez is the only one who tells Will his not going to help him because he needs to start doing things alone, if a person tells you that, I think it is only for your best.

Usually streets are filled with homeless persons, and the most common reaction is to look away and move forwards. The Butterfly Circus is a second option, a second life and a second opportunity for these persons that don’t receive any help by the society. Sometimes you should be more solidary and help the ones who really need a shoulder to cry on or someone who’ll listen.

Your life can change very easily. You just have to believe and fight for your dreams and never ever give up on your aspiration. Believe is a beautiful honor and it’s something we all should have. A few words can change the way you see all your life and catch every opportunity you have because maybe it could be the last.

Speech: Steve Jobs In Stanford University

Even tough Steve Jobs never graduates college, he is considered one of the most charismatic orators of our generation

His speech talks about his life and how hard it was to get to be one of the most succesful man in the world

He told us three stories, her mother was too Young when he was born and gave him in adoption and a lawyer and his wife adopted him

In this speech Steve gave us 3 ideas

The first idea talks about connecting the dots:

Jobs took a calligraphy class after he dropped college because he was so amazed of how beautiful it was; Ten years later, that single class helped him to create the first computer with a beautiful calligraphy, the first Machintosh. He said: You cannot connect the dots looking foward, you can only connect them looking backwards.

The second idea is about to find what you love

He said that he was lucky because he found what he love early in life. 10 years laterhe was fired from Apple, he said : “How can you get fired from a company you started?” but he still loved what he did so he started a new company called “next” and later he founded “pixar” and he said “being fired from Apple was the best thing that ever happened to me”
We  sould never forget where we come from “sometimes life is going to hit you in the head with a brick, don’t lose faith”

This idea had inspired me to study what i want and not what my family wants me to study, because I want to do what I love

The third idea is about Death

“Remebering that I’ll be dead soon, is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life, Because almost everything, all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure, these things just fall away in the face of death”.

We have to life our life like there’s no tomorrow and not fear death because it will come anyway, just enjoy your life, Jobs was diagnosticated with Cancer and the doctor said that he was going to die in about 3 to 6 months the he had a surgery and he  lived 5 more years

His video is by far the most motivational and inspiring thing I’ve ever seen, Jobs is one of my idols and now i think I will see life in another way

Team Hoyt

The video that I chose see, was “Team Hoyt- Dick and Rick Hoyt” Because it is a video that I know perfectly and it left me a great teaching and made me see the life differently. This video teaches you to never give up, to try to get ahead without looking back no matter how difficult the situation are.

When I saw this video for the first time, I was very moved, The video talks about a father and son who competed together in marathons and various athletic endeavors. But the son has a problem, he has cerebral palsy and during competition his dad pulls him in a boat as they swim, carries him in a special seat in the front of a bicycle, and pushes him in a special wheelchair as they run.

They have touched everyone, because their story is very special that shows us the love of a father to his son, and what he is capable of do for him no matter the problems that his son is facing.

Now I know how difficult is the task of be a parent and I want to thank all the sacrifices that my parents have made for becoming that what I am today and become a good and honest person and above all, to value what they give us and know all the sacrifices involved to get it.

Is one of the best videos of motivation that I've seen, and I hope that all people will see it and learn to value all things that our parents do for us, and if sometimes they scold us they do it for our own good and we get angry because we believe that it is not.

In conclusion, I think it's a good video, but not suitable for very sentimental people, but it changes your life.

Everybody is free to wear sunscreen - Baz Lurhman

The video called "Everybody is free to wear sunscreen" became a manifiesto of a generation just as a century was drawing to a close. The video talks about enjoying your life in the way you want to. In this speech I noticed that the life goes to fast and you don't have to worry about everything, time past and a lot of things change and it's necessary always keep looking to the future. 

Most of the time the people are judging other people and even ourselves, and we don't noticed that doing this take a lot of time when you can do something else and use it. In my opinion this speech tells you how to live your life in the best way you can. 

Don't be afraid, do whatever you want even if it is stupid, remember: time cure everything, don't think in the consequences, live the present because it's a gift, don't worry about your future (not so much) and don't regret the past because you can't change it. Your family is the most important, they will be with you until you die; the friends come and go as fast as the life past , but you can always get new ones and learn a little bit of everyone.

I think the metaphor of the phrase "use sunscreen" means that you can not let that the offenses affect you because you are worth more than you think. I'm totally agree with this speech, because we don't always appreciate the beauty of the life and just past through our eyes , and I don't want to be one of those persons, thats why I always try to take every chance, you don't know when is gonna be your last chance.

We need to be more braves. We need to dance like nobody is watching, take notice of the world no matter what you're doing, notice the moments that surround you, smile when you wake up, be thankful for what is, listen to music and enjoy it, express yourself by dancing to it or singing along, and the most important of all, don't be afraid to be yourself and never let anyone change you cause you are perfect the way you are.

And just remember one thing, in the end of the way, there is gonna be only one person, and that is gonna be you, so let yourself live the life so when you grow be proud of who you was and who you are.

The Butterfly Circus

I was watching some of the videos on the blog and the video that I chose was the Butterfly Circus because it’s a really beautiful story, it is a short film that teaches you that it does not matter who you are or how you look you can do and be whatever you want to you just have to try.

This short film is about Will a person without limbs who was part of a circus exhibition where people were able to laugh in his face just because he was different from all. It shows you how discriminate and racist were people in the past. 

Mendez the owner of the Butterfly Circus teach Will how little things can turn into big ones, that you have to trust in yourself first and stop listening what other people say about you. 

There is a scene where everybody is playing and swimming in a lake and Will couldn’t cross to the other side to go with them, then he asks Mendez to help him, but Mendez didn’t do it because he wanted Will to do it by himself and he was about to give up, but he tried and he did it, suddenly he fell off the trunk to the water and nobody could find him until he goes to the surface laughing happily because he’s swimming, what I think that Mendez tried to say to Will was that  if you never try you will never know.

My opinion of the short film is that it is an amazing beautiful story that makes you think about all the times that you’ve given up just because there is a little tiny obstacle and how someone without all our opportunities can do things that we didn’t even try, how someone can turn into a magnificent person and there is no excuse of anything, you can’t blame anyone if you can’t do things because the only person standing in your way, is you.
